This group provides activities and opportunities for older people in and around Netherton to meet old friends and make new ones in a welcoming and accessible environment. After sitting down for a nutritious and delicious lunch cooked on site by the award winning team at the ‘Sons of The North’ cafe we get together to enjoy the day’s activity.
Apart from the chance to catch up on everyone’s news we have a range of activities including guest speakers, playing board games, bingo and quizzes. We also arrange regular trips to interesting places in the local area and occasionally beyond!
Volunteers are on hand to support our members at the sessions including transport to and from the venue where needed.
When: 2nd and 4th Friday in the month.
Where: North Light Gallery, Brookes Mill, Armitage Bridge.
Time: 12 – 2:15 pm
Cost: £8 per session including lunch.
