in Netherton

This group provides activities and opportunities for older people in Netherton or the surrounding area of Armitage Bridge to meet  old friends and make new ones in an accessible environment. We sit down for a nutritious and delicious lunch cooked on site in the North Light Gallery Cafe before getting busy with the day’s activity. We enjoy a range of activities, from guest speakers or demonstrators, playing board games and receiving visitors such as local school children. Someone also comes 4 times a year from “Action on Hearing Loss” to provide any servicing or advice on hearing aids.

When: 2nd and 4th Friday in the month.

Where: North Light Gallery, Armitage Bridge.

Time: 12.00 noon to 2.30 pm.

Cost: £6.00 including lunch.

  1. My wife and I live in Netherton and would like to join at Armitage Bridge group on the next meeting for lunch. We have been advised to ask for John when we arrive. Our names are Stanley and Nancy Williams. Looking foreword to our first visit.

  2. Hi, I’m a carer for a couple who went to the North light galleries last Friday thinking there were a friend to friend meeting. They’ve not been to a meeting before so we’re a bit confused as no one else were there. They were supposed to meet a John who was going to look after them.
Please could you give me details of the meetings. Thank you very much. Mandy
